Our Single Mine Origin (SMO) gold cast bar is made with 999.9 ‰ fine gold sourced exclusively from one identified mining operation. Each bar contains gold from a single mine only, ensuring clear origin and full physical traceability.​ Every ingot is unique, as it is produced in small quantities for us by carefully selected refining and casting partners.

We also offer this gold bar in other sizes, such as the 1oz Single Mine Origin Gold Bar, which is particularly suitable for larger investments.

Origin of Gold

The gold used for this Single Mine Origin Gold Bar is sourced entirely from one clearly identified mining operation. The mine operates in accordance with internationally recognised environmental, social, and governance standards for responsible mining, including strict requirements on labour conditions, occupational health and safety, environmental management, and transparency.
Each production batch is kept physically segregated throughout the supply chain, from mine to refinery and final product. The exact mine of origin is specified as precisely as possible and can be verified via the batch number and QR code provided with the bar.

Certification & Assurance

The fine gold contained in this product is fully traceable to a single mine that is subject to ongoing due-diligence and annual assurance processes against internationally recognised responsibility standards. These include frameworks such as the World Gold Council’s Responsible Gold Mining Principles (RGMP), as well as IRMA and ICMM principles.
This ensures that the gold is sourced responsibly and that conflict financing and other high-risk practices are excluded.

Traceability

Each Single Mine Origin Gold Bar is presented with a unique batch number and QR code. By scanning the code or entering the batch number into our “Trace Your Gold” tool, you can access detailed information about the gold’s origin and supply chain. 




Packaging

The gold bars are individually packaged in transparent foil and are presented with a QR code and batch number for traceability via the “Trace Your Gold” tool.

Taxation

Under German VAT laws, this article is classified as investment gold and is, therefore, exempt from VAT for consumers (§ 25c UStG). ​

Is Fairever the direct importer of the gold?

As a direct trading partner, Fairever sources Fairtrade gold from Fairtrade-certified mines in Peru. Single Mine Origin gold is purchased vbia our shareholder company The Betts Group.

Do I get a certificate with the product?

The delivery note mentions the certification for all products. In addition, a separate label on our product packaging confirms the certification.

Unlike conventional gold, which is typically mixed from multiple sources along the supply chain, SMO Gold remains physically segregated from extraction through refining and manufacturing. This allows companies to know exactly where their gold comes from and under which conditions it was produced.

SMO Gold is sourced from audited industrial mines that meet defined social, environmental, and governance standards, including fair wages, safe working conditions, and responsible environmental management.
