OUR MISSION
More than 100 million people depend on artisanal and small-scale gold mining;
around 15 million work in it directly — often in dangerous conditions, for poor pay, using mercury that poisons rivers and destroys habitats. And yet most buyers have no idea where their gold actually comes from.
Fairever supplies the alternative. We offer jewelry makers, manufacturers, and investors a choice of best-in-class precious metals:
certified artisanal and small-scale mining (Fairmined, Fairtrade), traceable large-scale mining (Single Mine Origin), and verified post-consumer recycling.
We're not just a supplier — we're educators, and part of a growing movement.

We Care about People
We pay small-scale mining cooperatives a fair price for their gold, plus a Fairtrade or Fairmined Premium, decided democratically by the cooperative itself. Since 2015, we have channeled more than €925,959 in premiums to certified cooperatives (as of December 2026), typically toward safety equipment, better wages, or community projects like schools and clean water.
We Care about the Environment
Certification means binding environmental rules for the mines we source from: reduced, controlled use of mercury and cyanide, and restoration of the original ecosystem where mining took place. Fairmined Ecological Gold goes further still, produced without mercury or cyanide at all.
We Care about Fair Pricing
A guaranteed minimum price protects miners from market swings: Fairtrade and Fairmined require at least 95 % of the LBMA gold price, and Fairever pays 96 to 99 %. For larger volumes, our Single Mine Origin gold offers competitive pricing, opening the door for more manufacturers to adopt traceable gold at scale.

Wir zahlen Kleinbergbau-Kooperativen einen fairen Preis für ihr Gold, zuzüglich einer Fairtrade oder Fairmined Prämie, über deren Verwendung die Kooperative demokratisch selbst entscheidet. Seit 2015 sind so über 925.959 Euro an Prämien an zertifizierte Kooperativen geflossen (Stand Dezember 2025), meist in Sicherheitsausrüstung, bessere Löhne oder Gemeinschaftsprojekte wie Schulen und sauberes Trinkwasser.
Uns ist Umwelt wichtig
Zertifizierung bedeutet verbindliche Umweltauflagen für die Minen, mit denen wir arbeiten: kontrollierter, reduzierter Einsatz von Quecksilber und Zyanid sowie Wiederherstellung des ursprünglichen Ökosystems an den Abbaustandorten. Fairmined Ecological Gold geht noch weiter: völlig ohne Quecksilber oder Zyanid gewonnen.
Uns sind faire Preise wichtig
Ein garantierter Mindestpreis schützt Kleinbergleute vor Marktschwankungen: Fairtrade und Fairmined schreiben mindestens 95 % des LBMA-Goldpreis-Fixings vor, Fairever zahlt 96 bis 99 %. Bei größeren Mengen bietet unser Single Mine Origin Gold wettbewerbsfähige Preise – das macht rückverfolgbares Gold für mehr Hersteller in großem Maßstab zugänglich.

During my time as a development worker in Ethiopia, I saw hundreds of people making a living by working in small-scale mining. Conditions are precarious in many places. Mercury is used to separate gold from rocks, and without necessary safety equipment, workers inhale the toxic fumes. I saw small children carrying heavy loads out of the mines. A sight I will never forget and I wondered:
How can I support the local people? Is there any gold at all that I could buy with a clear conscience?
The best answer I found was gold from small-scale mining certified by Fairtrade or Fairmined standards.

Fairever becomes a member of the European Partnership for Responsible Minerals
Fairever is sourcing gold certified by Fairmined or Fairtrade Standards from about 15 different mining cooperatives in South America and delivers it to more than 600 jewelry makers worldwide.
Fairever became a "Fairmined Authorized Supplier"
Fairever became the first Fairtrade certified precious metals dealer in Germany.
In the same year Fairever launched the world's first Fairtrade Gold Bars on the free market.
Florian started Fairever (in the beginning called "TRAID GOLD") with the goal to enable mining communities and to create easy access to responsible gold for jewelry makers and investors around the world.
Starting out in development aid, Florian lived in Ethiopia and first came in touch with the precarious conditions in artisanal and small-scale mining. He knew something had to be done.
