You can cut, shape, and form the sheet into various components such as bezels, settings, backings, and decorative elements. With a Fairtrade gold sheet custom-made in the alloy and dimensions you need, you can save valuable time when creating your jewelry without compromising ethical sourcing.
We also offer Fairtrade gold wire for any additional needs in order to manufacture your individual jewelry pieces.
Fairtrade Gold: Origin, Certification, and Social Impact
The gold for this Fairtrade gold wire was mined by CECOMSAP in Peru, an organization comprising 10 mining cooperatives in the Ananea district, Puno province, at an altitude of 4,700 meters. The region is known for its cold, snowy weather, with temperatures ranging from -10 °C to +10 °C.
The gold is Fairtrade certified, ensuring responsible mining practices. A $2,000 USD premium per kilogram of pure gold is paid directly to the mining cooperatives, supporting improved working conditions, fair wages, education, and healthcare.

Our pricing of the Fairtrade Gold Sheets consists of 3 components:
- Current Gold Market Price
- Premium
- Fairtrade Social Premium
1. Current Gold Market Price
The gold market price, also known as the spot price, represents the current value of gold per ounce traded in the global market. It is influenced by various factors including supply and demand dynamics, economic indicators, geopolitical tensions, and investor sentiment. The spot price serves as a benchmark for pricing gold-related products and is continuously fluctuating based on market conditions.
2. Premium
The premium includes the costs associated with logistics, production, distribution, and marketing, as well as the additional costs that come along with trading Fairtrade gold products, such as auditing costs and separate administration. Ultimately, the premium reflects the higher production costs due to the small amounts of Fairtrade gold products in the market relative to conventional gold products.
3. Fairtrade Social Premium
The Fairtrade Premium is an additional sum of money paid on top of the Fairtrade minimum price for gold, which is directed towards community development projects and initiatives in Fairtrade-certified gold mining communities. This premium is democratically managed by the miners themselves, enabling them to invest in projects such as education, healthcare, environmental sustainability, and infrastructure improvements to enhance their livelihoods and communities. By choosing Fairtrade-certified gold, consumers contribute to empowering small-scale miners and promoting sustainable development within mining communities.

Unsere Preisgestaltung für die Fairtrade Gold Blech Produkte besteht aus 3 Komponenten:
- Aktueller Goldmarktpreis
- Marktübliche Prämie
- Fairtrade Sozialprämie
1. Aktueller Goldmarktpreis
